LOGLINE
Living under the dystopian aftermath of a third world war, Cori answers an inner call towards the prosperous Aletin City. Far from home, she slowly becomes more involved in the brewing conflicts among its citizens.
"The Gadget Project" is a science-fiction/action story inspired by exceptionalism and the pursuit of independence. Through the lens of high-stakes battles and gut-wrenching twists, The Gadget Project hopes to help answer the question: “How much of your freedom lies in your own hands?”
As a science fiction and superhero story created in 2020, TGP is still in development. During the pandemic, Maya spent her time writing and drawing concepts for this story, and was given the opportunity to create a comic book to aid her process. Later, in the last semester of her high school years, she directed and storyboarded a pilot episode for "The Gadget Project". She was able to complete it with the help of her good friend Maya Shimron, who wrote, edited, and produced the ambitious project. Together, they gathered students within their school to voice act and bring this cast of characters to life.
